Carlos Manuel Castillo Rodriguez

Carlos Manuel Castillo Rodriguez was born with a paint brush in his hand! His art has always been inspired by the landscapes of Pinar del Rio, in the eastern province of Cuba.

The miracle of Carlos Manuel's art is that he never attended a school for art! He started painting by observing his surroundings. The beautiful landscapes caught his eye and he has dedicated 15 years of his career to capturing what his intuition reveals to his painter's mind. Today, he’s a “Maestro” and mentor to a lot of young Cuban students.

His treasure and talent comes from his brushes. Carlos Manuel makes his own brushes with his spouses’ hair! A thick, strong but very soft hair that enables him to show every detail of every leaf that he finds in the unique Cuban country side.

The "Artist of the Mountains", a title Carlos refers to himself, is very faithful to his native region but also to his inner world of emotions and dreams.

He joined the team of Rainbow Bridge Studios in 2016.  His love for the Invisible is a unique and inspiring story, especially when one considers that, like all Communist countries, one is educated with the false notion that physical reality is all there is to Life!

Besides offering high quality art to the world, look for Carlos in upcoming workshops as well as adding his voice to our Spanish language recordings!
